NCTB will buy digital content from Startup Bangladesh

Virtual classes are now becoming one of the best ways to deal with health risks in the changed reality of ongoing pandemic. So the government has decided to buy digital content to manage these activities. According to the decision, the government will buy digital content directly from Startup Bangladesh Limited for Tk 17.35 crore. A proposal in this regard was been approved at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday, said Shamsul Arefin, Additional Secretary to the Cabinet. He said the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) under the Department of Secondary and Higher Education would procure digital classroom content to conduct online/virtual classroom activities for students to make the teaching-learning process more effective in the pandemic. In addition, the Department of Health has been given policy approval to purchase PCR test kits, antigen test kits, swab sticks including VTM, PCR lab consumables, CPAP and BIPAP machines at the earliest to save the lives of corona patients.
